Our bloggin’ BFF, Kirsten over at Restored Style is hitting the big 3-0 next month. To celebrate, she’s hosting a cocktail hour (avec cupcakes!) in her hometown of Portland, Ore. Kirsten asked me to fashion her invitations for the said soiree. Of course I said yes.
She sparked the design process with mentions of gold. The result is so pretty that we just had to share. The party is being held at an asian-inspired restaurant, so I created a pattern for her that has an elegant, eastern flair without going all pagoda-and-lanterns. The variegated gold tones sing of class that’s just Kir’s style. And what’s a thirtieth birthday party without some confetti a la Kate Spade? Check!
Kir, I wish you the most charmed of birthdays. I am oh so honored to be your go-to designer, but more than that, your friend. You better believe that I’ll be taking you out for a celebratory cocktail when I come back for the holidays – to toast a new decade and your new home! Congrats, lady. You deserve the best.
